Overview of Our Process

Storage

The cord blood stem cells are frozen in cryocyte freezing containers which can sustain ultra-low temperatures (minus 196 degrees Celsius) required for long term storage.

Prior to receipt of infectious disease test results, all cord blood samples are placed in a quarantine cryostorage tank.
Upon receipt of negative infectious disease test results, your cord blood sample is relocated to our long term main storage tank.

Lifebank’s storage tanks are equipped with a 24 hour, 7-day monitored alarm device, internal and external to the storage facility with a backup system in place.
